This series of panoramic landscapes was produced during the summer of 2004.  They were painted both in situ on the north coast of Antrim and in the studio.  The focus is firmly on the sea - looking outward- the wide view aiming to reflect the breadth of vision and sense of expansion that envelops you when standing in front the ocean.

The Sea of Moyle is the area around Kinbane Head on the Antrim coast- rugged and atmospheric - where the mythical children of Lir were destined to spend their years after being transformed into swans.  There is a mystical, magical quality to this whole area that remains relatively untouched and which is very much loved by the people who have spend time there.
